Howard Mavity

Howard Mavity has practiced law for nearly 30 years and is the founder of the Fisher and Phillips Workplace Safety and Catastrophe Management Practice Group. He has extensive experience working on safety-related matters and has managed approximately 460 fatality cases in construction and general industry, ranging from dust explosions to building collapses. He has coordinated complex inspections involving multi-employer sites, corporate-wide compliance, and issues involving criminal referral. Howard’s focus is the intersection of safety, employment law and labor issues, which range from dealing with whistleblower claims to the type of employee engagement that translates to effective safety efforts, fewer lawsuits and a pro-employee culture. Howard is also involved with audits of safety and HR compliance.
