Mobius Institute has announced that its board of certification has been awarded accreditation by International Accreditation Foundation (IAF) member JAS-ANZ, in accordance with ISO/IEC 17024 and ISO 18436-1, to provide vibration analysis certification per ISO 18436-2.
The Mobius Institute Board of Certification (MIBoC) is an independent entity within the Mobius Institute organization that is directed to ensure Mobius and its authorized training centers deliver training and certification that meet or exceed the requirements defined by ISO 18436-1 and 18436-2 standards.
Through an extensive audit and review process by Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ), MIBoC was awarded accreditation. Accreditation awarded by an IAF member organization, under the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA), ensures mutual recognition of accredited certification between signatories to the MLA and are recognized worldwide based on their equivalent accreditation programs.
Mobius Institute joins Vibration Institute of the United States and British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) as being accredited to provide certification to vibration analysts according to ISO 18436-1 and 18436-2. Based on a review of previous certification records, JAS-ANZ has declared that all Mobius Institute certified analysts in more than 126 countries are qualified to receive a revised certificate that recognizes their achievement as being certified in accordance with ISO 18436-1 and ISO 18436-2.
“Accreditation is a significant milestone for Mobius Institute and our family of worldwide authorized training partners,” said Jason Tranter, Mobius Institute’s founder and managing director. “We have worked hard to develop a practical and impartial certification scheme, so it was particularly gratifying when JAS-ANZ recognized that our previous certification practices met the requirements of the relevant standards.”
