Danaher changes name of business unit to Dynapar

RP news wires, Noria Corporation

The Feedback business unit within the Danaher Industrial Controls Group has changed its name to Dynapar, effectively combining the brands of Dynapar, NorthStar, Harowe, Hengstler and Acuro into a single entity for rotary feedback products in North America. The newly renamed unit is a major manufacturer of encoders and resolvers used in machine motor and factory automation motion control.

Established in 1955, the Dynapar company quickly became a leading encoder supplier to the industrial motor market. Over the years, the Dynapar business has been joined through acquisition with other industry leaders in rotary feedback. Today, the company offers a complete line of magneto-resistive, optical and resolver-based rotary feedback solutions in the industry. These product lines serve a wide range of industries including steel, paper, elevator, oil & gas, wind energy, medical, material handling, and industrial motor and servo manufacturers.

We are implementing this change to take full advantage of Dynapars strong brand recognition and 50 plus years as an industry leader, said Jon Giardina, Dynapar director of sales and marketing. Customers know they can turn to Dynapar for reliable product, delivery, and expert selection and service. Now they can turn to Dynapar for their complete rotary feedback needs across a spectrum of technologies.

This change affects only the name of the business unit; its business operations are not affected. Other business units within the Danaher Sensors and Controls Group will continue marketing under the Danaher Industrial Controls name or their own brand names.

The name change is immediate but the full transition including product changes will be steadily transitioned over the next several months.
