Hershey, union reach tentative agreement on contract

The Hershey Company's main factory and West Hershey plant in Pennsylvania will stay open, but jobs would be cut under an agreement workers are to vote on this week.

 

The company said March 25 that it has reached a tentative agreement with the union representing some 2,200 workers at the two Derry Township plants, but it released few details.

 

The agreement would reduce the hourly workforce by an unspecified number of jobs. The company said most of the cuts would come from voluntary programs.
