Seco-Carboloy changes name to Seco Tools

RP news wires, Noria Corporation

Seco-Carboloy announced January 1 that it has legally become Seco Tools Inc. in a move to better reflect the company’s global reach, resources and solutions it offers as one of the subsidiaries of Swedish-based Seco Tools AB. Mike Parker, Seco Tools director of marketing and product development, said that this transition will cause no visible change to the products and services the company has been known for since its inception in the 1920s.

“What this change does, however, is provide our customers better access to Seco’s global metal-cutting application knowledge base, which is gathered from operations in over 40 countries,” said Parker. “This global vision has allowed Seco to develop some of the most highly technological cutting tools in the industry. By sharing this knowledge with our customers, we positively impact their profitability, competitiveness and longevity.”

Seco Tools Inc. is part of the Seco Tools AB global organization, a world leader in metalworking technologies providing solutions for milling, turning, holemaking and threading applications with revenue of more than $1 billion. In addition to its corporate headquarters in Warren, Mich., Seco Tools has a manufacturing facility in Lenoir, Tenn.; also including 13 sales offices with a total of 350 employees in the United States.
