Minnesota companies have shortage of skilled workers

Even though some high-profile layoffs have grabbed headlines recently, some Minnesota industries say they actually face a shortage of workers with specialized training.

This month, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce reported that all types of companies are having trouble finding qualified workers. Skilled precision manufacturing positions are particularly hard to fill.
