Service Steel recently broke ground on a new manufacturing facility located in Farmington, New York. The launch of the new facility will expand the current line of steel tubing products and services to both existing and new customers in New York and the surrounding region.
The Farmington facility will join other Service Steel locations in the Midwest and Eastern regions of the United States. The new 40,000-square-foot warehouse and manufacturing facility will be able to expand to 60,000 square feet over 7 acres of property.
Among the steel tubing products to be offered in the new plant will be carbon, stainless, alloy and aluminum in various shapes and specifications. Commonly stocked items will include mechanical, structural tubing in round, square and rectangular shapes as well as bar stock.
In addition to supplying a wide array of steel tubing products, the new Farmington location will also offer steel tubing cutting and fabrication services such as band-saw cutting, high-speed cold-saw cutting and mitre cutting. Two overhead 10-ton cranes and multiple drive-thru truck bays will allow for efficient processing and flow of materials through the facility and out to customers.
