The Ingersoll Rand Industrial Technologies Sector’s Mocksville, N.C., facility recently received the Duke Energy Power Partner Award. The Mocksville team received the award for its work on the extensive energy infrastructure installation needed to support the rotary and Centac test cells that were part of the move of the Davidson, N.C., facility into Mocksville.
With approximately 4 million customers in the Carolinas and Midwest, Duke Energy presents the annual award to less than 1 percent of its customers. The Power Partner award recognizes customers that have made significant investments to use Duke Energy’s resources to develop and keep business in the United States as well as the states the utility serves.
“We are honored to have been chosen as a Power Partner by Duke Energy,” said Rick Ryan, vice president of operations, Ingersoll Rand Industrial Technologies Americas Region, who accepted the award for Ingersoll Rand during a February 9 presentation ceremony. “Throughout the entire process of moving work from Davidson to Mocksville, we continually partnered with Duke Energy to keep energy and production costs low, ensuring a smooth and safe transition. This is an excellent example of our commitment to finding the most energy efficient and reliable solutions available.”
