Hydromat create strategic alliance with lathe maker

Hydromat announced a new strategic alliance with Tornos S.A. of Switzerland. Hydomat Inc., headquartered in St. Louis, will now represent the Tornos line of multispindle lathes in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The addition of the Tornos line of multispindle machines to Hydromat’s array of rotary transfer machines creates an impressive lineup for the precision part making industry.

 

Hydromat’s commitment to the Tornos multispindle operation will include sales, engineering, setup, service and parts stocked at their centrally located St. Louis campus.

 

The alliance between Hydromat and Tornos S.A. is a leap forward for the high volume and precision-machined parts industry. Hydromat’s 27 years of success in the rotary transfer marketplace combined with Tornos’ multispindle history, one dating back to 1958, creates a rich synergy that will benefit the customer. The Hydromat organization serves a broad clientele in the precision parts industry, and all parties involved believe this alliance will result in the expansion of the Tornos multispindle lines into new market segments. Hydromat will represent the full multispindle line including; The MultiDECO 6 and 8 spindle, 20mm and 32mm bar-fed and 50mm chucker machines as well as the SAS 16.6 cam-operated lathe. The MultiDECO line features the powerful Fanuc control with TB Deco Programming Software for advanced machining flexibility and programming versatility. These principals combined with the Tornos machine’s strength and supreme accuracy raises the bar for multispindle productivity.
