Katina Kravik has been named chief executive officer and owner of Northwire – Technical Cable, an Osceola, Wis.-based company that manufactures cabling for machine vision applications. Kravik represents the third generation in her family to own and lead the privately held 37-year-old company.
Kravik's grandfather, Ormund Kravik, founded Northwire in 1972. A mechanical engineer, Kravik formed Northwire when he could not source cable for one of his other businesses. His son, Mark Kravik, led the company for more than 30 years; he now becomes chairman of the board.
Katina Kravik says, "We will continue to invest heavily in our valued employees in the areas of professional development, including Design for Six Sigma, project management and lean manufacturing. These platforms will enable us to add more value to our customers, and innovate a wider and deeper breadth of product offerings with increased velocity."
