Dover Corporation announced April 11 the establishment of its Pump Solutions Group (PSG). The Pump Solutions Group joins its major legacy brands – Wilden, Blackmer, with Griswold and Almatec – to form a cohesive pump organization with a broad array of pump technologies totaling more than $300 million in annualized revenue. PSG resides within Dover’s Fluid Solution platform. PSG’s mandate is to leverage each company’s strong brand recognition while taking advantage of synergies within the group’s distribution, manufacturing footprint and supply chains, while also leveraging best practices and streamlining back-office support functions. The group will look to take advantage of its greater critical mass, while expanding its global footprint (now exceeding 50 percent of its sales outside United States).

“The Pump Solutions Group increases our distributor capture and provides a total solution for our customer’s fluid handling requirements,” said John D. Allen, the group’s newly appointed president, who formerly served as president of Wilden.

Soma Somasundaram, president of the Fluid Solutions platform, said, “We are excited to deliver on the promise of synergy and this is a logical step in that direction. PSG will feature total business integration while preserving the individual company’s strong brand positioning.”

Pump Solutions Group features the world’s largest manufacturer of air-operated double diaphragm pumps (Wilden) and the largest provider of sliding vane pumps (Blackmer). Other members of the PSG include Griswold, a centrifugal pump manufacturer, and Almatec, a provider of premium product pumps for semiconductor and electronics markets. The Pump Solutions Group has facilities in California, Michigan and Georgia along with international facilities in Dusseldorf, Germany; Shanghai, China; Chennai, India; Auxerre, France; and Ostrava, Czech Republic.
