Motion Industries acquires Meier Transmission

Motion Industries, a leading distributor of industrial maintenance, repair and operation (MRO) replacement parts, announced September 7 that effective the company has completed the acquisition of Meier Transmission. Meier Transmission has two locations in northeast Ohio and is a distributor of motion control products, mechanical and electrical drives, pneumatic controls, machine safety products, and power transmission products. Meier Transmission provides products that require application engineering, modification, systems assembly and process knowledge.

 

Brian McMahon will remain the officer in charge of Meier Transmission, and the company will operate as Meier Transmission. Meier Transmission is part of Motion Industries' new automation and systems businesses.
