Benefits/Savings from a CMMS
Typical savings from a CMMS come from better scheduling, parts availability, machine availability, and parts inventory.
Better Scheduling
Planning time per job decreases, resulting in more job plans produced, fewer backlogged jams, and fewer breakdowns and emergency repairs. Job scheduling is more efficient through availability of reserve materials. Only jobs with materials available are scheduled, resulting in fewer schedule changes and less time spent by personnel waiting for materials. Job planning is improved by the system's support data, which include planner backlog and status reports, quick recall of repetitious job plans, computerized scheduling, and historical job analysis.
How much money do you save as a result of better scheduling as a percentage of your total annual maintenance costs?
1-5%
6-10%
11-15%
16-20%
Other (specify)______
Parts Availability
More productive time is assured through parts availability. When parts are not available, craft personnel must not only idly wait for new assignments, but must also try to locate or even fabricate parts.
How much money do you save as a result of parts availability as a percentage of your total annual maintenance costs?
1-5%
6-10%
11-15%
16-20%
Other (specify)______
Machine Availability
Machine production time increases as the CMMS contributes to less emergency repairs through the PM program. The system's ability to automatically schedule PM makes it extremely valuable for many organizations.

1-5%
6-10%
11-15%

Other (specify) ______
Parts Inventory
CMMS allows you to maintain real time inventory levels, automatic ordering, and parts cross-referencing. This results in reduced inventory and fewer stockouts.

1-5%
