Westinghouse Electric Company announced the appointment of F. Wayne Bentley as director of Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) Services, reporting to Jim Ferland, vice president of Westinghouse Field Services.
Using his 28 years of nuclear industry experience, Bentley will establish and implement a BWR growth strategy over the next six to 12 months that complements that of Toshiba Corporation, Westinghouse's majority owner.
Bentley comes to Westinghouse from General Electric Company, where he worked for more than 10 years in management, inspection services, customer alliances and project management for nuclear power plant outages. He was also a supervisor with BWR outage services for ABB Combustion Engineering for four years, and is experienced in welding services, having managed welding and other projects for the Tennessee Valley Authority and PCI Energy Services.
He is trained in Six Sigma and is Black Belt certified. He will be located at the Westinghouse Waltz Mill site in
