NAI recently announced that its manufacturing plant in Hermosillo, Mexico, has achieved zero defects for two consecutive years. The milestone also marks two years without customer returns or complaints.

During the two-year period, the plant produced fiber-optic riser-cable assemblies and jumpers with more than 7 million cable terminations. More than 4,225 miles of fiber-optic cable were processed over 1.7 million man-hours.

“Operational excellence is one of the cornerstones of NAI’s strategic architecture, and we’re very proud to see it demonstrated with this accomplishment by our team in Hermosillo,” said Jon Jensen, NAI’s CEO.

Incorporating quality planning and management along with lean manufacturing, NAI’s quality process includes the use of proprietary testing protocols throughout manufacturing, a relentless passion for excellence and continuous improvement, and a focus on design for manufacturing.

“Great teams with great leaders are hard to find, but we have the perfect combination in Plant #2,” added Carlos Canez, director of operations in Mexico. “As a result, our customers recognize the strong service level they receive and enjoy working with us.”

Headquartered in Troy, Michigan, NAI is a leading manufacturer of global connectivity solutions for high-performance systems used in the industrial technology, telecom, data and medical industries.
