Azima DLI, a provider of predictive machine condition monitoring and analysis services, on September 15 announced the launch of its WATCHMAN Intensive Care condition monitoring services. The services are enabled by the new Sprite Roamer Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a portable, online monitoring system that can be quickly deployed by plant personnel to machines that are in need of attention by professional condition specialists and comes with 24/7 support.

The Sprite Roamer ICU is typically used by facilities that do not have an online monitoring system, but have a need for more than monthly manual data collection on specific equipment, including critical machinery to ensure it is in good health. The system is also used on problematic machines to gather frequent, consistent data. Maintenance professionals can easily transport and set up the Sprite Roamer ICU to monitor a machine as long as necessary. The solution collects a constant flow of vibration and process data from up to four bearing locations on a single machine, performs local fault diagnostics and transmits the results wirelessly to the cloud-based WATCHMAN Reliability Portal where the machine condition is monitored and data is reviewed by expert analysts. Once the assessment is complete, Azima DLI analysts will discuss the machine’s condition with plant staff and make any operational or repair recommendations.

WATCHMAN Intensive Care subscribers benefit from the highest level of service provided by Azima DLI’s Diagnostic Center world-class analysts. Service subscribers receive the following benefits:

On a 24/7 basis, condition alerts triggered by problem machines are given the highest priority. An Azima DLI analyst will perform a complete analysis and respond to the subscriber by telephone within four hours;

If problem machines do not generate an alert within a week, Azima DLI performs a thorough analysis on the machine to ensure there are no problems; and

Azima DLI analysts deliver a comprehensive analysis report monthly.

“The WATCHMAN Intensive Care services are an innovative approach to managing equipment health, providing plants with flexible data collection and analysis support based on their most critical uptime requirements,” said Burt Hurlock, CEO, Azima DLI. “The service combines the strength of Azima DLI’s analysts with leading on-premise, wireless and cloud computing technologies to create a customized, cost-effective solution for manufacturers looking to strengthen their condition monitoring practices.”

WATCHMAN Intensive Care is a supplemental service package to Azima DLI’s WATCHMAN Reliability Services. These services combine the industry’s most advanced and reliable analytical software with remote monitoring capabilities to deliver solutions ranging from subscription-based vibration analysis to advanced on-site technical assistance.
