Accuride Corporation on August 20 announced that it has successfully reached a new collective bargaining agreement with the International Union, United Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW), Local 1186, which represents approximately 215 hourly workers at Accuride’s aluminum wheel manufacturing facility in Erie, Pa.
“We are extremely pleased to have amicably reached this new agreement that not only preserves the cost competitiveness of our Erie facility but also recognizes the strengths and talents of our team members,” said Leigh Wright, senior vice president of Accuride Wheels.
The parties’ most recent agreement was entered into in 2007 and was set to expire at midnight September 3, 2010. The new agreement is effective September 4, 2010, through September 3, 2014.
