CoorsTek Inc., the leading global manufacturer of technical ceramic and specialty material components, announced June 28 the signing of a definitive agreement to purchase the Advanced Ceramics business of Saint-Gobain with facilities in Europe, North America, South America and Asia.
Under the agreement, CoorsTek will acquire the Advanced Ceramics business held by Saint-Gobain Ceramic Materials, a leading global supplier of materials and components made from ceramics, grains and powders.

This acquisition will significantly benefit our customers by expanding our material and processing capabilities, product offerings, and geographical reach," states John K. Coors, chairman, president and CEO of CoorsTek.
Subject to necessary governmental approvals, this acquisition is expected to be effective on July 31, 2010.
