More than 50 years of manufacturing will end this year when the Xerox plant in Mitcheldean in the United Kingdom closes. At its height, the firm was one of the biggest employers in the Forest with more than 5,000 people working there. Following massive cuts in 2001, the final 80 employees will lose their jobs this summer as work is outsourced to China and the USA.
