In order to add convenience to maintenance managers’ quest to find hard-to-replace parts, Advanced Technology Services (ATS) launched a new online parts store on January 25. According to a recent survey among maintenance supervisors, engineers and plant managers commissioned by ATS, 74 percent said they already use online resources to buy new replacement parts; and up to 68 percent said they plan to buy more online in the future.

“Listening to the needs of our customers is what keeps ATS’ service offerings relevant,” said Jeff Owens, president of Advanced Technology Services, “Many of our customers have older legacy assets that present difficult challenges to find parts through traditional channels. That’s why ATS’ first venture into online sales has been focused on hard-to-find legacy parts.”

The ATS store features more than 100 hard-to-find parts with plans to include thousands in the future. Some of the brands include Cutler-Hammer, Adept, Westinghouse and Onsrud. Since the survey also indicated that close to three-quarters of those searching for parts search by the OEM and part number, ATS’ new store will offer enhanced searchability, convenience and ease of use for purchasing these parts.
