Chromalox, a leading manufacturer of electric heat and control products, has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification for all three of its manufacturing sites including: LaVergne, Tenn.; Ogden, Utah; and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.
ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally recognized quality management system standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO 9001:2008 applies to organizations involved in the design and development, manufacturing, installation, and servicing of products. To be certified to the standard, companies must implement a comprehensive quality management system that addresses all areas of operation.
"Ensuring the highest quality standards for our customers is the foundation of our long-term success," said Scott Dysert, CEO of Chromalox. "Achieving ISO 9001:2008 standards at all of our manufacturing facilities is another way we ensure that our customers receive consistent quality from every Chromalox product and every interaction with our associates."
Chromalox has aggressively pursued product certification and has achieved more third-party approvals than any other manufacturer in the industry. In recent years, the company was awarded the KOSHA (Korean Occupational Safety and Health Administration) certificate for Heating cables and Accessories, and the CQST (China National Quality Supervision and Test Center for Explosion Protected Electrical Products) Certification for heating cables suitable for applications of Division 1 and Division 2 Hazardous locations.
