Gates Corporation announced its acquisition of Hydrolink Group of Companies.

Since 1988, when Hydrolink first began operating in the United Arab Emirates, the company has provided customers with a comprehensive range of engineering, fabrication, testing and service operations for fluid power products in the rapidly developing Middle East & CIS region. Founded and headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Hydrolink currently operates 20 locations in the Middle East and CIS regions. By allowing Gates to accelerate its market penetration for fluid power products into this high-growth market, Hydrolink is a strategic addition to Gates Corporation.

“As an established leader in this vibrant and growing market, Hydrolink is uniquely positioned to serve the needs of the oil and gas industry, and is a natural addition to Gates Engineering & Services group, “said Gates Fluid Power president David Gau. “The acquisition creates new opportunities for Gates to expand our product and service solutions to clients. The unique hydraulic service solution we provide is valued by critical end market customers in Oil & Gas, marine, mining, and mobile equipment.”

Kevin Roberts, founder of Hydrolink, added, “The alignment with the Gates brand will give us a great opportunity to accelerate growth in the region and other globally attractive locations, and to further enhance customer satisfaction. I am delighted to be associated with an internationally respected company like Gates.”

Roberts will remain with the company and will be deeply involved in its integration with Gates Corporation.
