Babcock Power acquires assets of Welding Technologies

Babcock Power Inc. (BPI) announced September 1 that its subsidiary, Babcock Power Services Inc., has acquired all assets of Welding Technologies Inc. located in Gainesville, Ga. Welding Technologies will be a division of Babcock Power Services, one of the four business segments within the BPI group of companies.

 

Welding Technologies provides field welded repair, replacement and refurbishment of plant equipment and fabrication of ASME parts and pressure vessels for the power generation, petrochemical and pulp and paper industries. Included in the acquisition by Babcock Power Services are all machinery, equipment, computer hardware, PLC codes, tools, drawings, patents, trademarks, trade names, copyrights, product formulae, inventions, proprietary know-how, technology, licenses, and design programs used to conduct the operations of Welding Technologies, including the name and goodwill. All current operations and customer interfaces will continue to be handled out of the Gainesville facilities.
