New Generation Biofuels Holdings Inc., a renewable fuels provider, on July 9 announced that Cleaver-Brooks, the leading manufacturer of industrial and commercial boilers, has successfully conducted a series of test burns of New Generation Biofuels' proprietary biofuel in an NTI Ultra Low NOx burner. Taking place at the Cleaver-Brooks Milwaukee R&D laboratory, the tests verified the biofuel as a compatible fuel source for Cleaver-Brooks boilers. With this announcement, New Generation Biofuels is underscoring its ability to reduce Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) emissions by up to 30 percent and virtually eliminate Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), when compared to ultra low-sulfur fuel oil.

Cleaver-Brooks is a leading global manufacturer and distributor of hot water and steam boilers, gas and oil burners, advanced system controls and heat recovery systems. The company evaluated New Generation Biofuels as an alternative fuel. The positive test burn results mark New Generation Biofuels commitment to develop sustainable and renewable fuels for the commercial and industrial sectors.

"The favorable result of the test burn conducted with New Generation Biofuels is a positive step for the industry," said Steve Connor, marketing services director of Cleaver-Brooks. "In testing the biofuel, we were pleased to find a fuel that was not only renewable but also showed desirable emissions performance, which New Generation Biofuels does. As a bonus, the switch to New Generation Biofuels was a simple process."

"Cleaver-Brooks has a reputation for being one step ahead of the market, and with this test they have proved that once again," said Cary Claiborne, CEO of New Generation Biofuels. "With a successful test at Cleaver-Brooks, we continue to gain momentum and credibility in this market segment. We look forward to continue developing our relationship with Cleaver-Brooks."
