ICE Industries, a leading metal stamping and assembly company, on June 27 announced it was selected by automotive supplier Tower Automotive to provide manufacturing support. Under the terms of the agreement, ICE will manufacture parts for at least the next three years for Tower Automotive, based in Novi, Mich. The contract calls for ICE to produce stampings and welded assemblies.
“ICE is pleased with the opportunity to build a new relationship with Tower Automotive, a leading supplier in the automotive industry,” said Howard Ice, chairman and CEO of ICE Industries. “We look forward to providing Tower with the products and services that are essential to its success.”
Tower Automotive supplies numerous vehicle parts to nearly every major automotive manufacturer in the world. ICE Industries will conduct the work for Tower Automotive at its Mississippi location.
The ICE Mississippi plant, located in Grenada, is a 358,000 square-foot manufacturing facility with capabilities that include metal stamping, roll forming, manual and robotic welding, buffing and assembly. The Grenada facility was selected based on its proximity to Tower Automotive plants in Madison, Miss., and Smyrna, Tenn.
