Barnes launches catalog of eco-friendly MRO supplies

RP news wires, Noria Corporation

Barnes Distribution now makes it easy to be green. A business of Barnes Group Inc., the company is the first major maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies distributor to launch a catalog of its premier “green” products to help customers focus on using environmentally responsible products.

Barnes Distribution created the catalog to further its commitment to workplace safety and to address the eco-friendly business philosophy being adopted by its customers.

“Many of our customers are trying to reduce toxicity levels within their facilities while others have embraced ‘greener’ initiatives to be more environmentally responsible,” said David Nagle, president, Barnes Distribution, North America. “We developed this catalog to centralize all of our environmentally friendly products to respond to customer needs. It also reaffirms our commitment to keep our customers’ operations running and workers safe while minimizing the impact to our environment.”

All of the 270 products sold in the catalog have low or no volatile organic compounds (VOC), no hazardous air pollutants or ozone-depleting chemicals, and no SARA reportable ingredients. Products in the catalog include Barnes Distribution High Solid Paints, which emit less VOCs compared to standard aerosol paints, cleaners and degreasers, greases and lubricants, janitorial supplies, adhesives, sealants, lighting, all natural sorbent pads and more.

All catalogs were printed on recycled paper, packaged with a natural sorbent and sent to Barnes Distribution customers in North America and Canada.
