Toyota Motor Sales presented the International Automotive Components (IAC) plant in Holmesville, Ohio, with the coveted Toyota Quality Alliance (TQA) Platinum award for achieving and maintaining a 100 percent delivery rating and outstanding quality.

Toyota Customer Services Division group vice president Jane Beseda presented the Platinum Award to IAC director Andrew Kennedy. Toyota's Corporate Accessories Department national manager of purchasing, Gordon Fogg, commented that, "IAC Holmesville's kaizen culture was evident from the moment I walked into the plant." Additionally, IAC's delivery and quality were particularly notable considering Holmesville's period of transition from a former Collins & Aikman operation to what is today IAC.

"This is a proud achievement for all of IAC," said Jim Kamsickas, IAC’s president and CEO, North America and Asia. "When this level of recognition comes from Toyota, it is a true testament to our unrelenting commitment to Continuous Improvement (CI), operational excellence and overall customer satisfaction. Congratulations to the dedicated employees at our Holmesville facility and all of the IAC team members that have supported this exceptional performance, leading to this recognition by Toyota."

The TQA Award is given to suppliers that demonstrate an unwavering commitment to excellence in parts and accessories quality, delivery, and support. A total of 19 suppliers received award recognition at the Toyota Motor Sales 2008 Supplier Conference. Only three, including IAC, were recognized with Platinum awards for outstanding performance.
