Linetec won the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers (WSPE) Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Grand Award for outstanding achievement in the large-company category. Linetec, based in Wausau, is one of the nation's largest paint and anodizing finishers.

Company president Rick Marshall thanked Linetec's employees and also highlighted the company's adoption of the Six Sigma philosophy to drive continuous improvement and quality. More than 50 employees have completed advanced training to lead Six Sigma projects, including collaborative projects with customers, to reduce waste, shorten lead times and yield financial savings.

WSPE's judges recognized Linetec for customer focus, community involvement, environmental leadership, safety record and sales growth, as well as leveraging technology to enhance customer and employee communication.

In addition to being one of the nation's largest paint and anodize finishers, Linetec is the largest independent architectural finisher. It serves customers across the country, finishing products such as aluminum windows, wall systems, doors, hardware and other architectural metal components, as well as automotive, marine and consumer goods.
