ASQ Offers Free Webinar on ISO 28000 Standard

The American Society for Quality (ASQ) is offering a free webinar that spotlights how the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 28000 standard can help organizations assess their supply chains for adequate security measures and regulatory compliance.

The free recorded webinar is available with registration via Intro to ISO 28000 - Security of the Global Supply Chain. The topic will be of interest to small and large organizations in manufacturing, service, storage or transportation that are considering implementing, self-assessing or getting certified to an internationally recognized security-management standard. 

The webinar’s presenter is Captain Inderjit Arora, who serves as president and CEO at Quality Management International Inc. (QMII), a global management systems consulting, auditing and training firm. With more than 32 years of experience in military, mercantile marine and civil management, Arora is also a lead instructor and consultant for security of the global supply chain using ISO 28000, Customs-Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

During the webinar, Arora provides an overview of the ISO 28000 standard and explains how it is vital to global organizations that require the use of process-based risk-management systems to ensure that supply chains are reliable and secure. He discusses the structure, tangible benefits and application of ISO 28000, and answers key questions, including:
