Association for Manufacturing Excellence forms alliance with Productivity Alberta

RP news wires

The Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) on October 27 announced its recently formed alliance with the Alberta government’s Productivity Alberta (PA) to increase manufacturers’ productivity.

“This agreement will take our prior collaboration with PA to a higher level and will enhance organizational experience for all members,” says Bill Baker, vice president of alliances for AME. “It will provide both AME members and PA clients with new opportunities that will help improve everyone’s bottom lines, from networking to world-class knowledge and education.”

As a result of the formalized partnership, AME members and PA clients will gain access to a multitude of new opportunities and resources, including:

  • Enhanced benchmarking capabilities with a larger and broader comparison group
  • Greater access to cutting edge thinking, best-practice research and lessons learned
  • Expanded marketing exposure and recognition
  • Broadened exposure to networking, knowledge sharing and educational opportunities

This alliance offers support for AME and PA by promoting events and conferences and sharing articles for print and digital publishing. PA will have access to AME’s education and training resources for manufacturers located in Alberta, and support AME’s “Measure Up For Success” conference, June 6-10, 2011, in Calgary. These actions will encourage more effective and efficient learning through benchmarking and knowledge transfer as a way to grow the North American manufacturing and supply chain sectors.
