Toyota global vehicle production in July increased 10.7% vs. 2009 levels

Toyota Material Handling

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) on August 27 announced its production, domestic sales and export results, including those for subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Company Ltd. and Hino Motors Ltd. for July 2010.

  • Twelfth consecutive month of increase
  • Lexus-vehicle sales totaled 2,598 units (37.1 percent increase)
  • 49.2% share of market excluding minivehicles (1.8% increase); 14th consecutive month of increase and record high for month of July

Daihatsu

  • Sixth consecutive month of increase
  • Minivehicle sales totaled approximately 53,000 units (6.7% increase); seventh consecutive month of increase
  • 34.6% share of minivehicle market (0.6% decrease)

Hino

  • Sixth consecutive month of increase
  • Standard-truck sales totaled approximately 1,300 (45.4% increase); fifth consecutive month of increase
  • 31.8% share of the truck* market (0.8% increase)

Toyota + Daihatsu + Hino

  • Twelfth consecutive month of increase
  • 45.2% share of market including minivehicles (1.2% increase); 14th consecutive month of increase and record high for month of July

* Maximum loading capacity of four tons or more; excluding imported trucks

 


EXPORTS
Toyota: Seventh consecutive month of increase, due to increased exports to almost all regions other than Oceania.

Daihatsu: First increase in four months, due to increased exports mainly to Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and other regions

Hino: Ninth consecutive month of increase, due to increased exports to almost all regions

Toyota + Daihatsu + Hino: Seventh consecutive month of increase


OVERSEAS PRODUCTION
Toyota: Twelfth consecutive month of increase, due to increased production in South Africa, Australia, Asia and other regions

Daihatsu: Ninth consecutive month of increase, due to increased production in Indonesia and other regions

Toyota + Daihatsu + Hino: Twelfth consecutive month of increase
