Henkel Loctite contest celebrates America's working heroes

RP news wires, Henkel Corporation

Everyone knows someone who gets the job done in their community – firefighters, police officers, soldiers, teachers, doctors, nurses, neighbors, co-workers, friends who really make a difference. Thanks to a new contest from Henkel Corporation, one lucky and deserving American hero chosen by visitors to www.LoctiteJobDone.com will win a tricked-out Yamaha Rhino UTV.

The contest winner will be announced and presented with his or her new Loctite-customized utility vehicle on a special episode of PowerBlock TV’s “Xtreme4x4” airing on Christmas Day on Spike TV. The Loctite UTV, which was accessorized and upgraded on the May 1 episode of “Xtreme4x4”, is valued at $22,500.

Nominations are being accepted online through July 30, 2010. Anyone interested in nominating his or her hero can simply fill out a short form describing the candidate and upload a photo and/or video that provides more information. On August 11, the Top Five candidates will be announced and the public will be invited to vote for their favorite hero. Voting will continue through October 10, 2010.

“Our company wants to acknowledge the men and women who go above and beyond to give back to others,” explains Ken Martindale, Henkel’s vice president of global marketing for the general industry business. “Every community has them – from volunteer firefighters to school teachers to shop foremen who look out for their workers on the job. They deserve our recognition.”
