Georgia Iron Works Industries has recently partnered with Advanced Technology Services Inc. (ATS) to help its plant in Grovetown, Ga., run better through the managed services of production asset maintenance.
ATS is an industry leader in managed production equipment maintenance and IT solutions. The ATS process of production asset optimization will help GIW compete more cost effectively in a highly competitive global economy.
“ATS will add value to the organization through a well-managed maintenance program,” said Charles Harris, vice president of operations for GIW Industries. “Their service will create efficiencies in our manufacturing process and provide real cost savings.”
In tough economic times when manufactures are looking for innovative ways to increase cost savings and efficiency, outsourcing production maintenance can make a significant difference. In fact, in a recent study with Neilson Research, manufacturers agreed that outsourcing maintenance could provide real value in a down economy.
“In both expanding and contracting economies, ATS’ value proposition delivers meaningful advantages to our customers,” said ATS president Jeffery Owens. “We add flexibility to manufacturers that helps them operate at lower levels when needed and to ramp up rapidly as production demand changes. We look forward to helping GIW’s factories run better.”
