New book shows how 'Quality Makes Money'

Paul V. Arnold, Noria Corporation

Quality succeeds when a company’s senior management supports it. And conversely, the presence – or absence – of quality can severely impact a company’s bottom line. This is the premise of a new book entitled "Quality Makes Money", by Pat Townsend and Joan Gebhardt, whose intention is to re-energize the “quality revolution” in the United States by giving organizations a realistic approach for tapping into the talent already on their payrolls. "Quality Makes Money" offers pragmatic steps enabling any organization of any type to engage every employee in a complete, continuous improvement effort. The focus of the book is on the Complete Quality Process (CQP), which takes into account not only the tools available to analyze, institute, measure, and record quality practices, but also the environment in which these tools are consistently and enthusiastically applied. The new soft-bound book is from Quality Press, the publishing arm of the American Society for Quality, and can be ordered on-line at ASQ.org.
