Motion Industries acquires Gerrish Bearing Company

Motion Industries, a leading distributor of industrial maintenance, repair and operation (MRO) replacement parts, announced August 7 that the company completed its acquisition of Gerrish Bearing Company. Gerrish Bearing has locations in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington, and is a distributor of bearings, power transmission and industrial products in its market.

 

Andy Johnson and Mark Johnson, the previous owners, will join Motion Industries and continue to manage the locations.

 

Bill Stevens, Motion Industries president and CEO, stated, "The acquisition of Gerrish Bearing Company will allow Motion Industries to continue our penetration of the market with bearings and power transmission products as well as industrial products throughout the area."
