Aggregate Industries US recently announced that Lattimore Materials Corp. (LMC) has surpassed the 2-million-hour mark without a lost-time injury, which is defined as an injury that requires an employee to take time off for recovery.

A provider of ready-mix concrete and aggregate products to building trades in north Texas, LMC operates seven aggregate mines, 26 ready-mix sites with 35 concrete plants, four rail terminals and a fleet of more than 400 mixer and haul trucks.

"We commend Lattimore for its accomplishment and unwavering attention to safety," said Bernard Terver, president and chief executive officer of Aggregate Industries US, a Holcim Group Company. "Our employees have shown great commitment to implementing our universal safety measures. We're proud of their accomplishments and look forward to continued excellence."

As industry leaders in safety standards, Aggregate Industries US and Holcim US have also celebrated numerous lost-time injury milestones in 2012.
