Autoliv's Airbag Module Facility in Utah provides a broad offering of life-saving airbag modules and has more than 82 manufacturing lines and ships to 100 locations worldwide. Its customers depend on them to build high-performance products that are 100% reliable. At the time of its Shingo Prize certification in 2003, its molding department had seven presses and shipped 975,317 covers. They currently have 14 presses and ship more than 4.5 million covers annually. By continuing to apply APS principles, they have increased the number of modules produced per person by 18%.
