The fourth annual Northeast Shingo Prize conference features today's leading lean practitioners, teachers, experts and your peers implementing Lean in the northeastern United States. Yokoten means best practice sharing - copying and improving on kaizen ideas from others. The 2008 Northeast Shingo Prize is your opportunity to leverage your membership in the community of lean and learn new ways to approach lean and implement your lean initiative to achieve real and lasting improvements.

In addition, the North American Shingo silver and bronze medallions for Operational Excellence will be awarded to three local companies: Raytheon Integrated Air Defense Systems (Silver), Extrusion Technology (Bronze), & Callaway Golf Ball Operations (Bronze). The Shingo Prize is recognized worldwide as the standard for operational excellence. Recent recipients of this coveted prize include Z Corporation, BAE Systems Advanced Composite Manufacturing, Brookfield Engineering, AccuRounds/Boston Centerless and Thermo Electron Corporation. Each year, star performers like these exemplify the principles and best practices advanced by Shigeo Shingo of the Toyota Motorworks. During the conference and award presentation banquet, you can meet and learn from these star performers, see videos highlighting the secrets of their success and meet the change agents one-on-one to get insights into achieving lean success.
